Island Art & Artisan Show & Sale

In this popular exhibit, artists who are Island residents, along with seasonal and visiting artists, come together to display their creative talents. Some examples from our 2020 online show are shown above. Painting, photography, fibre arts, sculpture, woodcarving and imaginative mixed-media pieces are all displayed together, and it’s all for sale. Come and enjoy art created by our friends, neighbours, and visitors, and take advantage of this opportunity to take home some great art at a very reasonable price.
We welcome back our regular artists who faithfully participate in this event, and we are always looking for new artists of all ages. Children, teens and adults are all encouraged to participate.
This event is a major fund raiser for the gallery. There will be an entry fee of $10 per piece, and a 25% commission on sales. Gallery visitors will be encouraged to vote for their favourite pieces, and People’s Choice Awards of $200, $150 and $100 will be given for the three most popular works in the show.
You may submit up to four pieces, and your work must be ready to hang (preferably with a wire, not frame clips). A label with your name, medium and title of the piece must be attached to the back of the artwork.
An image of your artwork may be used for publicity purposes to promote the Show. The Gallery respects community standards and reserves the right not to hang any work that is deemed inappropriate.
We will take normal precautions to care for all submitted artwork; however, the Gallery will assume no risk for loss or damage to any artwork whether from manmade or natural causes. It is the sole responsibility of the artist to insure each work against risk in whatever amount is considered necessary.
Complete the Entry Form below and submit it by June 14, along with the Entry Fee of $10 per submission, payable by e-transfer (firstname.lastname@example.org), or cheque made payable to the Gallery, and mailed to the Treasurer, Grand Manan Art Gallery, 10 Marathon Lane, Grand Manan, NB, E5G3A3 .
Artwork must be delivered to the Gallery by June 19. Work that is mailed to the Gallery, or sent by courier, must be in a reusable shipping container with a return address.
Unsold artwork that is not collected by July 10 will become the property of the Gallery.

For the convenience of mainland artists, By the Sea Framing, 122 Water Street in St. Andrews will be a drop site for the Island Art and Artisans Show (deliver your work on June 16 or 17).
